We make one of these, so read this knowing that. What follows is what each tool does best, checked on the Chrome Web Store on 20 September 2026, and where ours is the wrong choice.
Chrome can capture a whole page by itself. Press F12, then Ctrl+Shift+P, type full size and pick Capture full size screenshot. Free, nothing installed. It struggles with lazy-loaded images, sticky headers and pages that scroll inside a panel. Step by step here.

Users and ratings read from each Chrome Web Store listing on 20 September 2026. Ours is new: one rating, from someone we know, which is why we say so here.
| You want to… | Use |
|---|---|
| Grab a whole page, once, nothing fancy | Chrome DevTools, or GoFullPage |
| Record your screen or share to a team | Awesome Screenshot |
| Annotate heavily and export polished PDFs | FireShot |
| Share a page that contains customer data | Ours, or any tool plus careful manual editing |
| Capture 50 pages from a list | Ours (Pro), or a scripting tool like Playwright |
A screenshot extension reads the page you capture. That is unavoidable. What differs is what happens next:
Whole page, part of a page or a scrolling panel, as PNG, JPEG or PDF, free. It finds emails, phone numbers, card numbers and API keys and blacks them out before the file is written: 3 such captures a month free, unlimited with Pro. Everything runs on your computer, and it has no analytics, no ads and no account.
