Awesome Screenshot has grown into a screen-recording and sharing platform, with cloud storage, share links and team workspaces. If you use those, it's a sensible choice. If you only wanted screenshots, and would rather they never left your computer, here are simpler options. We make one of them, so weigh this accordingly.
Chrome captures a whole page by itself: F12, then Ctrl+Shift+P, type full size, choose Capture full size screenshot. PNG only, and it struggles with lazy-loaded images and sticky headers. Step by step. For the visible part of the screen, your operating system's own tool (Win+Shift+S, Cmd+Shift+4) is enough.
Full Page Screenshot does screenshots and nothing else, on your computer only:
What it doesn't do: recording, annotation, share links. If you need those, a local-only tool isn't the right fit.
Stay with a recorder. Windows has one in Xbox Game Bar (Win+Alt+R), macOS in the screenshot toolbar (Cmd+Shift+5), and Loom and Awesome Screenshot both do it well if you want share links.
Full-page, region and scrolling-panel screenshots as PNG, JPEG or PDF, with private details blacked out before the file is written. Nothing is uploaded.
